The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all instrumentation and control systems used in the food manufacturing process. The role ensures equipment accuracy, process control, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and calibrate instruments such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, pH meters, weighing systems, and control valves.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and automation systems.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and PLC control system faults to minimize downtime.
Support production operations by ensuring accurate and reliable process measurements.
Maintain calibration records and documentation as per internal and external audit requirements (ISO, HACCP, etc.).
Assist in upgrading or modifying control systems as per process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
Coordinate with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams for integrated system performance.
Participate in maintenance planning, spare parts management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification & Experience:
ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
2-5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician, preferably in the
food, beverage, or FMCG industry.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and field instruments.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food industry safety standards is an added advantage.
