- Instrumentation Technician (Textile Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all instrumentation systems (sensors, controllers, transmitters, PLCs, SCADA, automation panels, etc.). Ensure smooth functioning of textile machinery (spinning, weaving, dyeing, processing, finishing, utilities) by monitoring and maintaining instrumentation & control systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for instrumentation and automation equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose breakdown issues in control panels, sensors, temperature controllers, flow meters, pressure gauges, and other measuring instruments. Work closely with the electrical and mechanical maintenance team for resolving interlinked issues. Assist in new project installations, modifications, and upgrades of textile machinery instrumentation. Maintain proper documentation for calibration records, maintenance schedules, and spares inventory. Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with company policies during all maintenance activities. Support energy efficiency and process optimization through proper instrumentation tuning and control.

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of instrumentation & control systems related to

textile machinery.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with PLC, VFD, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, and automation devices. Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Awareness of safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.

Qualification & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical (preferred). 2-5 years of experience in

textile or process industry

instrumentation maintenance. Experience with modern textile automation systems will be an added advantage.
