Purpose Statement

Responsible to perform the routine & non-routine (Project, modification, shutdown & breakdown) instrumentation works i.e. Repairs, calibration, troubleshooting, functional testing, installation, termination in field & shop floor for improvement instrumentation operation

Key Role & Responsibilities

- Calibrate the instruments periodically as per pre-defined schedules under the supervision of Supervisor/Engineer


- Ensure timely inputs to plant person or superiors & contribute to prevent incident / accident in plant or shop floor


- Conduct the functional test of newly received instruments under the guidance of superior


- Ensure cable terminate/gland and reliable power source to instruments & systems


- Fill calibration report, checklist, daily log sheet etc.


- Accountable & responsible for the deviations due to instrument failure


- Contribute in management of spares inventory along with collection/deposition at stores


- Ensure & maintain housekeeping in area of ownership through instrument cleaning by self or with the help of contract workmen
