Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Instrumentation Engineering Team Member assists in collecting, organizing, and reviewing data for site plot plans and tender documents to ensure accurate project planning. They support the management of instrumentation engineering activities by providing progress updates, documenting change requests, and participating in technical risk assessments. The role involves preparing technical specifications, evaluating technical proposals, and aiding in finalizing control system architecture. The team member tracks project deliverables, prepares status reports, and provides on-site support during installation and testing of control systems. They participate in safety audits, review material requisitions for accuracy, and support risk assessment activities. Additionally, they ensure effective communication with contractors and vendors, and coordinate with internal teams for seamless project execution.
Responsibilities:
Instrumentation Engineering Team Member-PETCHEM
Project Planning and Coordination:
Ensure accurate and complete information for project planning by collecting, organizing, and reviewing data for site plot plans and tender documents.
Ensure adherence to industry standards by supporting the management of instrumentation engineering activities, providing progress updates, documenting project change requests, and participating in technical risk assessments.
Ensure alignment with design specifications by coordinating technical meetings, preparing materials, documenting discussions, and compiling responses to contractor and vendor queries.
Support effective project execution by collaborating in the development and implementation of project schedules, providing input on task dependencies and timelines.
Technical Specification, Analysis, and Review:
Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and statutory norms by assisting in the preparation and review of technical specifications regarding instrumentation and control systems' material selections.
Ensure resolution of queries and accurate procurement decisions by assisting in evaluating technical proposals for control systems or field instruments and preparing technical bid analyses.
Optimize procurement costs and enhance system performance by supporting value engineering initiatives.
Finalize control system architecture for the plant, including DCS, ESD, PLC, FGS, and MCMS, by assisting in related tasks.
Ensure accurate implementation of analysers, custody transfer metering, and automatic tank gauging systems by contributing to design reviews.
Ensure compatibility of control systems and field devices by aiding in their selection, interface testing, and verification.
Ensure accurate instrument sizing by reviewing SPI/Non-SPI formats and preparing reports for orifice meters, control valves, etc.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements by assisting in their implementation per project specifications.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to project plans by tracking deliverables, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring progress.
Highlight progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions by contributing to the preparation of detailed project status reports.
Field Engineering Support:
Ensure work is performed according to design specifications and quality standards by providing on-site support during the installation and testing of instrumentation and control systems.
Ensure successful execution of construction tasks by assisting the construction team in developing Construction Work Packages, preparing documentation, and overseeing instrumentation-related fabrication activities.
Ensure prompt resolution of issues by troubleshooting and addressing problems related to instrumentation and control systems during construction, coordinating with relevant teams.
Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations by participating in safety audits and communicating basic findings to stakeholders.
Ensure that all materials and equipment meet project compliance requirements and quality standards by assisting in reviewing material requisitions and vendor submissions for technical accuracy.
Support risk mitigation by identifying potential risks, reporting issues to senior team members, and assisting in the implementation of risk mitigation measures.
Ensure alignment with environmental goals by incorporating basic sustainability practices into HSE measures and design recommendations, adhering to local and international regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Management:
Ensure that project objectives are met by communicating technical information and requirements to contractors and vendors.
Ensure efficient project execution by coordinating with internal teams to align project activities and ensure seamless integration of tasks.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed institute/university.
Master's degree in Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.
Advanced degrees or certifications in Instrumentation engineering or project management are advantageous.
Work Experience (Range of years):
5 to 12 years of total work experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role in a large or mid-sized organization.
