The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems. The role ensures accurate measurement, control, and automation to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, select, and specify instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.
Develop and review loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets and P&ID interpretation.
Design & develop Engineering drawings - Location layout, Hookup, Cable tray/trench layout, Loop Drawing, Wiring drawings.
Capable of preparing Engineering documents - Cable schedule, IO list, Instrument index, various Instrument datasheets.
Coordination with other disciplines - Civil, Piping, Process, HSE, Structure, Electrical.
Able to prepare Material Requisition (MR) for control system and Instruments and coordination with vendors for technical review.
Install, calibrate, test, and commission field instruments and control systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
1- 3 years of relevant experience (depending on role level)
Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ISA, IEEE, ATEX, etc.)
Technical Skills
PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
MS office

Experience in oil & gas / power / chemical / pharma / manufacturing industries
