. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining sophisticated instrumentation and electrical equipment used in process control, automation, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Design, specify, and integrate instrumentation systems with complex electrical architectures.
Develop and review P&IDs, control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and loop drawings.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC/DCS/SCADA systems for process automation.
Ensure accurate calibration, installation, and commissioning of sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control devices.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues in electrical instrumentation systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, process, electrical, and safety) to ensure system reliability and performance.
Manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with
IEC, ISA, IEEE, and local regulatory standards
for safety and reliability.
Provide technical documentation, manuals, and training for operations and maintenance staff.
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in
Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or related field
.
7+ years of experience
in instrumentation and electrical systems, preferably in process industries (oil & gas, power, chemical, manufacturing, or similar).
Strong knowledge of
control theory, automation, and industrial communication protocols
(Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.).
Hands-on experience with
PLC/DCS/SCADA systems
(Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
Proficiency in handling
complex electrical systems
, including MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, and protection systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with
safety standards (ATEX, SIL, HAZOP, IEC 61511)
and hazardous area instrumentation.
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and lead cross-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Attributes
Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., ISA Certified Automation Professional, TUV Functional Safety).
Project management and vendor management experience.
Exposure to digital transformation tools (IIoT, Industry 4.0, predictive analytics).
