Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the installation, commissioning, and periodic calibration of field instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, level transmitters, and temperature sensors throughout the production facility. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automation and control systems including PLCs, SCADA interfaces, and DCS platforms that support critical glass manufacturing processes like melting, forming, annealing, and packaging. Ensure instrumentation systems adhere to internal engineering standards and comply with regulatory requirements related to quality (ISO), safety, and environmental performance. Support reliability initiatives by implementing and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance routines to minimize process disruptions and extend asset lifespan. Work closely with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to integrate instrumentation into broader plant systems, ensuring smooth and synchronized operations. Maintain detailed technical documentation, including calibration records, maintenance logs, fault reports, and service histories for audit and operational purposes. Participate in the planning and execution of instrumentation-related capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including equipment upgrades, expansions, and new system installations. Evaluate existing process control strategies and assist in deploying control system improvements to enhance operational consistency, energy efficiency, and product quality. Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during plant shutdowns, inspections, audits, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance readiness.
