We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Project Instrumentation Design Engineer
to join our team. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation systems for various industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors to deliver cost-effective and reliable instrumentation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review instrumentation design documents, including P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, and control system architecture.
Develop instrument index, I/O lists, and wiring diagrams.
Design field instrumentation layouts, hook-up drawings, cable routing, and control panel designs.
Select and specify instruments such as transmitters, analyzers, sensors, control valves, and field devices.
Ensure designs comply with international standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.) and project-specific requirements.
Coordinate with process, electrical, piping, and mechanical teams for integrated project execution.
Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at site.
Monitor project schedules, cost, and quality for instrumentation deliverables.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and client specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or related field.
Experience:
3-7 years in instrumentation design engineering within EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power / Pharma / Manufacturing projects.
Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC systems, instrumentation standards, and engineering software (SPI/INtools, AutoCAD, SmartPlant).
Hands-on experience with field instruments, control systems, and industry codes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
