to design, develop, and maintain electrical control panels, instrumentation systems, and automation solutions. The role involves handling project execution, panel design, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Development
Design electrical control panels (MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD panels) based on project requirements.
Prepare wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), GA drawings, and panel layouts.
Select appropriate electrical and instrumentation components (switchgear, relays, PLCs, sensors, transmitters, drives, etc.).
2. Instrumentation & Control
Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, analyzers, etc.).
Integrate instruments with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
Develop logic diagrams, loop diagrams, and instrument index.
3. Project Execution
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement of panels and instruments.
Supervise fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing of panels.
Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
Ensure projects meet timelines, cost, and quality standards.
4. Testing & Troubleshooting
Perform electrical and functional testing of panels and instruments.
Troubleshoot control system issues, wiring faults, and instrumentation errors.
Ensure proper documentation of test results and corrective actions.
5. Compliance & Standards
Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, NEC, and other relevant standards.
Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards.
Prepare technical documentation, manuals, and reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience:
2-8 years in electrical panel design, instrumentation, and automation projects.
Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/EPLAN for panel and wiring design.
Familiarity with industrial standards for electrical panels and instrumentation.
Hands-on experience in calibration and testing of instruments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
