Job Title:

Instrumentation Technician

Department:

Instrumentation Department - Bhilai Steel Plant

Qualification:

ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related trade.

Experience:

Minimum 1-5 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial or steel plant environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Installation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves.

Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment.

Assist in troubleshooting process control systems and automation-related issues.

Work with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems for monitoring and control of plant processes.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all maintenance activities.

Maintain documentation of calibration records, instrument histories, and maintenance schedules.

Support engineers in commissioning and testing of new equipment.

Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams for integrated system maintenance.

Key Skills Required:

Good knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.

Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams and instrument drawings.

Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and control loops.

Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Awareness of safety practices in industrial environments.

Work Location: Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
