Role Overview  
Kings Cornerstone International College is seeking a motivated and skilled Instructor/Lecturer in Semiconductor Engineering to deliver specialist BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) units, including Semiconductor Manufacture, Semiconductor Production Environments, Emerging Semiconductor Technologies, and Semiconductor Integrated Electronics.  
The successful candidate will combine academic expertise with practical industry knowledge, delivering a balance of theoretical instruction and hands-on laboratory training.  
Key Responsibilities  
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions across semiconductor-focused HND units.  
Train students in the operation of semiconductor fabrication and testing equipment (spin coaters, mask aligners, profilometers, four-point probes, spectrophotometers, oscilloscopes, etc.).  
Integrate EDA and circuit simulation software (OrCAD, LTspice, Multisim, FPGA toolchains) into classroom teaching.  
Guide students in cleanroom practices, ESD control, PPE usage, and lab safety protocols.  
Develop, assess, and grade coursework, laboratory assignments, and student projects.  
Conduct demonstrations on wafer processing, device characterisation, integrated electronics, and emerging technologies (GaN, SiC, flexible/organic electronics).  
Maintain laboratory facilities, coordinate with lab technicians, and ensure compliance with ISO 14644 cleanroom standards and health & safety regulations.  
Support student research and projects, embedding industry-relevant case studies and innovations into delivery.  
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.  
Requirements  
Essential Qualifications & Experience  
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Nanotechnology, or related discipline (Master's preferred).  
Minimum 3 years' teaching or industry experience in semiconductor fabrication, electronics, or integrated circuit design.  
Hands-on experience with semiconductor laboratory equipment and EDA/IC design software.  
Strong background in FPGA prototyping, digital/analog IC testing, and device measurement.  
Familiarity with emerging semiconductor technologies and ability to translate them into practical classroom applications.  
Desirable Skills  
Prior teaching/training experience in a vocational or higher education setting.  
Knowledge of wafer-level fabrication workflows, VLSI design, and photolithography.  
Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.  
Ability to foster an engaging and safe student learning environment.
