will lead the institutional business by expanding relationships with mutual funds, insurance companies, banks, FPIs/FIIs, pension funds, and other large institutional investors.The role will lead the sales franchise to drive revenue through equity cash and derivative products. The role involves managing high-level relationships with Fund Managers, CIOs, and Dealers at top mutual funds, insurance companies, and banks. The ideal candidate will blend deep market knowledge with a proven ability to monetize research and corporate access.
Target Clients:
Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs), Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, FIIs/FPIs, AIFs, and Family Offices
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Generation & Client Management
Generate Revenue: Achieve quarterly and annual brokerage and commission targets through Cash and Derivative products.
Relationship Management: Deepen wallet share with existing institutional clients (MFs, Insurance, Banks) and acquire new clients.
Client Coverage: Maintain high-touch, regular engagement with Decision Makers, CIOs, Fund Managers, and Dealers.
Product Marketing: Effectively market in-house research, investment ideas, and corporate access (roadshows, NDRs).
2. Strategy & Market Intelligence
Market Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to institutional investor needs.
Advisory: Advise clients on market developments, best execution, and block sourcing.
Feedback Loop: Provide structured, actionable feedback from clients to internal Research and Trading teams.
3. Execution & Operations
Trade Handling: Oversee smooth execution and settlement of transactions (NSE CM & FNO).
Platform Usage: Utilize Bloomberg, FIX order management, and other trading tools for efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to SEBI regulations and internal compliance norms.
4. Leadership & Mentorship
Team Management: Mentor, guide, and train junior sales team members to build a strong sales culture.
Internal Coordination: Collaborate with Investment Banking, Dealing, and Research teams to facilitate high-impact transactions.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of equity markets and institutional investor behaviour.
Proven leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, market analysis, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to integrate research-driven strategies into client engagement.
Strong time management and coaching abilities.
Preferred:
Experience dealing with FPIs/FIIs, PMS, AIFs, ETFs.
Background in research or investment strategy.
Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and algo tools.
Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA/CA/CFA preferred).
5+ years of relevant institutional sales experience with strong relationships across major fund houses, insurers, banks, and FIIs/FPIs.
