Key Responsibilities
Customer Site Support
Provide
on?site technical support
at customer locations for automation systems
Diagnose and resolve
PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, and control system issues
Respond promptly to
service calls, breakdowns, and emergency situations
Installation & Commissioning
Support
installation, testing, and commissioning
of automation systems
Configure PLCs, HMIs, drives, and field instruments at site
Validate system performance as per approved design and customer requirements
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform
preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance
Analyze root cause of failures and implement permanent solutions
Assist customers in reducing downtime and improving system reliability
Customer Interaction & Training
Act as a
technical interface with customers
at site
Provide
basic training and guidance
to customer operators and maintenance teams
Communicate technical issues clearly and professionally
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare
service reports, maintenance logs, and RCA reports
Update system documentation after service activities or modifications
Maintain records of installed automation hardware and software versions
Compliance & Safety
Follow
site safety rules, electrical safety standards, and company protocols
Ensure compliance with industrial standards and customer guidelines
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Education
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
Experience
2-5+ years of experience in
service, maintenance, or field support
for industrial automation
Proven experience in
customer?site support
or plant operations
Technical Skills
PLC troubleshooting & basic programming
(Siemens, Allen?Bradley, Schneider, ABB)
SCADA / HMI support
(WinCC, FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.)
Knowledge of
drives, motors, sensors, and industrial instrumentation
Industrial communication protocols:
Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus
Basic understanding of
electrical panels and wiring diagrams
Soft Skills & Behavioral Competencies
Strong
customer?service mindset
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently at customer sites
Willingness to travel and provide
on?call/shift support
Calm and structured approach during breakdown situations
Work Conditions
Frequent
travel to customer sites
Factory, plant, and industrial environments
May require night shifts, weekends, and emergency calls
