Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for an Installations Senior Engineer - Technical Supply chain to join its world class team based out of Bangalore. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today's most exciting technologies.


The Installations Senior Engineer - Technical Supply chain will support the sales and construction phases of site development for the installation of Bloom Energy's product. This position will interface with a sales and larger site design team: IPT, Engineers and Project Managers.


This position will focus on eliminating technical barriers and representing a highly technical product or service related to the power industry. The Installations Senior Engineer - Technical Supply chain must have a strong understanding of a broad set of Supply chain process for engineering and construction solutions.


Job responsibilities include develop and maintain various supply chain plans and strategies. Coordinating and overseeing supplier manufacturing operations to forecast orders and meet project deliverables and managing supplier relationships. Basic knowledge of construction, electrical, mechanical applications is essential. Knowledge of low and medium voltage power systems equipment's is essential. An understanding of civil, structural and electro-chemical applications is beneficial.


Installations Senior Engineer - Technical Supply chain must have experience of working in electrical distribution and power generation supply chain group. Better understanding of current market prices of various electrical equipment's.

Work Experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

Discussing and understanding various requirements with other disciplines, submittal review, and

construction support services.

Creating the Equipment List & Bill of Materials (BOM) from the Single Line diagrams for RFQ. Sending RFQ to approved / preferred suppliers and arranging the quotations in quickest possible time. Releasing & maintaining the Site BOM. Technical evaluation of supplier quotations. Qualifying the supplier quotations based on evaluation. Preparing the estimates and comparison statements based on historical data and current market

prices.

Responsible for negotiating with suppliers for delivery of best quality products at best price with

quickest possible delivery time.

Getting the acceptance from suppliers for technical and commercial terms. Inputs for preparing the Purchase orders and amendments. Supplier/vendor contact, including initial discussions for project scope deliverables and ongoing

coordination during manufacturing and construction support services.

Getting the supplier progress reports periodically and analyzing the delays. Implementing corrective

actions to meet the on-time deliveries.

Technical evaluation price variations received from suppliers on account of new additions / deletion

in the scope of supply.

Working on Site design activity Preparing Single line diagrams, Conceptual drawings and Schematic drawings in AutoCAD.

Skills Required:

Must have solid knowledge of current market pricing & cost estimation. Collaborate with different teams to understand the sourcing requirements. Self-starter and desire to learn new things. An entrepreneurial spirit is essential. Should have excellent, verbal & written communication skills to build lasting relationships with people. Should have excellent time management and Negotiation skills. Should have excellent supplier/vendor communication skills. Should have excellent Negotiation skills. Ability to professionally communicate with all types of people via phone, email, face-to-face and

videoconference interactions.

Ability and desire to design and implement new company protocols as essential. Self-motivated and shows the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision. Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple project and priorities. Supplier evaluation & developing new vendors/suppliers for various products. Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds to identify problems and find solutions. Proactive and persistent with well-developed analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD & other Product Lifecycle Management software

Education and Experience:

BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of with Design and supply chain Management experience related to power generation and

critical load construction experience.
