The Installation Supervisor (Mechanical Engineer) is responsible for supervising and managing the installation, erection, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems at project sites. The role ensures work is executed as per design, quality, and safety standards, while coordinating manpower, materials, and client requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise installation, erection, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, piping, and machinery.
Interpret and review technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Plan and allocate manpower, tools, and resources effectively.
Monitor site activities to ensure timely progress and compliance with safety & quality standards.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients for smooth project execution.
Identify and resolve technical and operational issues during installation.
Maintain daily/weekly site progress reports and submit to management.
Conduct inspections and testing before handover.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
Provide technical guidance and supervision to site technicians and workers
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation, and commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Leadership and team supervision skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Familiarity with industry safety and compliance standards.
Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 2-7 years of experience in installation, erection, or commissioning (preferably in [industry - e.g., HVAC, heavy machinery, process plants, or manufacturing]). Hands-on site supervision experience is mandatory.
