Roles & Responsibilities:

• Creation of Top level Inspection plan capturing all the features / inspection notes depicted in Engineering, Manufacturing & Assembly drawings, with distinct feature identifiers (ballooning) / location by sequencing
• Population of Characteristic Matrix
• Capture Limits, Tolerance , Key inspection notes (NDT, Hardness, Mechanical Test) & GD&T, with clear detailed description of each feature & critical features which requires Process capability study & Severity classification
• Awareness of various inspection methods / Recommendations / and its limitations

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Ability to study Engineering / manufacturing drawings, interpretation, GD&T.
• Awareness of basic measuring instruments & its terminology
• Basic method of manufacture & inspection.
• Awareness of simple trignometric functions for indirect measurements.
• Basic know how on NDT & precision inspection
• Basic know how on instrument / gauges calibration / validity.
• Various types of inspection method depending upon the complexity of part / assembly
• FAIR/LAIR /PPAP awareness

Desired Skills:

• Graduate in a Mechanical Degree or Diploma with equivalent work experience
• MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Project.
• Analysis tools: Minitab
• CAD tools: Solidworks, Creo
