We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Inside Strategic Partnership Manager (iSPM) to join our growing partner team.DescriptionThe Partner Management team is looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual dedicated to nurturing and enhancing relationships with our strategic technology partners. As the Inside Strategic Partnership Manager, you will actively contribute to the development and execution of US-based partner account strategies to drive more leads and revenue among a portfolio of technology partners. Your primary responsibility will be to empower and enable partners to thrive within the framework of the Avalara Partner Program.The ideal candidate excels in cross-functional collaboration, demonstrates strong communication skills, and is proficient in project management. With an analytical mindset and a bias for action, you will be working in a dynamic environment while regularly interfacing with our external partners. Your curious mindset and a willingness to learn while contributing your unique talents will be highly valued within our winning organization.Key Responsibilities * Account Planning & Strategy Support:

  • Support the development and execution of general partner portfolio strategy
  • Assist in setting and tracking partner performance metrics & goals
  • Executing against playbooks to drive growth and transformation
  • Coordinate and manage quarterly and annual business review to measure and track performance across a set of partners
  • Leverage tools and systems to transparently track initiatives and share progress
  • Coordinate feedback loop to refine and improve new or changed processes
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing performance data across partners to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and partners to review program progress and results
  • Share insights and recommendations with the team to help develop and refine partner strategies
  • Partner Relationship Management:
  • Assist in nurturing an existing group of partners to drive more revenue and growth within the Avalara Partner Program
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with key partners, keeping them informed of updates, promotions, co-marketing materials, and relevant changes within our organization to accelerate growth opportunities and drive more partner engagement
  • Regular check-ins with partners to align on roadmap integration enhancements, attaining and renewing connector badge certifications on an annual basis
Qualifications
  • Must be able to support North American-based partner set and North America-based working hours
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5 years of experience in partner management, account management, consulting, or a related role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data to find trends and insights
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using CRM and collaboration tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of the Technology Platform & SaaS market and ecosystem
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with partner programs or channel sales
  • Knowledge of SaaS market
  • Ability to travel occasionally for partner meetings or events
