Job Title: Inside Sales Team Leader


Location: ECR, Chennai (Relocation assistance provided for outstation candidate)


About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Inside Sales Team Leader to manage a team of 5-8 Inside Sales Executives. This role is ideal for a performance-driven professional with a strong background in consultative sales and team management. You will be responsible for ensuring the team consistently delivers high call volumes, schedules qualified meetings, and contributes directly to revenue and enrollment growth for the our university transfer programs.


Key Responsibilities


Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 5-8 Inside Sales Executives to consistently exceed targets.


Oversee daily activities, ensuring each team member makes 30-40 high-quality calls to prospective parents/students.


Ensure all conversations reflect a consultative, solution-focused approach--explaining programs clearly and addressing concerns with confidence.


Drive appointment bookings with Admission Counsellors, ensuring meetings are confirmed and well-qualified.


Monitor and achieve weekly and monthly revenue, enrollment, and meeting targets.


Apply a data-driven approach to track pipeline health, conversion ratios, and team performance.


Conduct regular coaching sessions to enhance skills in objection handling, negotiation, and customer engagement.


Collaborate with Marketing and Admissions to ensure lead quality and optimise the conversion process.


Produce accurate and timely performance reports for leadership review.


Requirements


Key Requirements


Extensive experience in sales leadership, ideally in sectors known for high-performance sales environments (e.g., financial services, premium consumer products, or customer-facing industries).


Proven track record of consistently exceeding ambitious revenue or enrollment targets.


Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and convert high-value prospects.


Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to inspire and manage diverse teams.


Resilient, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in target-driven settings.


Organised, analytical, and able to interpret sales data to drive team performance.


Prior experience in telesales, inside sales, or education recruitment will be an advantage.
