The Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for supporting the sales function by managing incoming inquiries, preparing quotations, following up with potential clients, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of bookings. This role is based in the back office and will focus on driving business growth through proactive customer engagement, accurate documentation, and timely follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Lead Management:
Handle incoming sales inquiries via email, and ensuring timely and professional responses.
Prepare and send freight quotations for ocean services based on client requirements.
Follow up with prospects and existing customers to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
Maintain and update the CRM/database with leads, opportunities, and customer information.
Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with the operations team to confirm space availability, schedules, and service options.
Coordinate with pricing and procurement teams for competitive rates.
Work closely with external sales representatives to support client meetings and proposals.
Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, service updates, and documentation requirements.
Reporting & Administration:
Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports for management.
Track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
Support marketing campaigns by following up on targeted outreach lists.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Mandatory to have 1-3 years' experience in inside sales.
Please note that communication is a key requirement for this role.
Candidates with experience in a marketing role within a BPO environment preferred
Someone who can proactively follow up and create opportunities for the sales team to take over.
Someone who can ask the right questions to gauge the potential of the customer.
While experience or knowledge in the logistics industry is an advantage, it is not mandatory.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM systems.
Basic understanding of ocean freight and logistics terminology.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
This is a permanent remote role.
Work timings - Mon to Fri 10am to 7:30pm & Sat 10am to 2:30pm.
CTC for the role is a maximum of INR 3,50,000 P.A. depending on interviews
