General Job Purpose:
Oversees end-to-end People Operations across supply chain and warehouse locations, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training. Manages large-scale contract staffing, statutory compliance (CLRA, S&E, LWF), IR matters, and NAPS/NATS programs. Drives HR reporting, analytics, capability building, and supports global HR initiatives to ensure a compliant, skilled, and high-performing workforce.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
HR Operations & Employee Relations
Support employee relations cases by addressing workplace concerns, resolving disputes, and recommending corrective actions in alignment with labor laws.
Conduct disciplinary inquiries under Model Standing Orders and applicable regulations; document findings and advise management on outcomes.
Conduct exit interviews, analyse trends, and share insights with leadership for corrective action.
Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring timely updates for promotions, transfers, salary changes, and terminations.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in recruitment activities, including hiring coordination and agency liaison.
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure all onboarding documentation and compliance requirements are completed.
Ensure internal job posting, transfer and promotion processes comply with company policy.
Performance Management & Compensation
Support development, communication, and execution of job descriptions in partnership with leadership.
Administer performance appraisal cycles and salary review processes to ensure fairness, objectivity, and policy alignment.
Ensure compensation and benefits programs are executed in accordance with approved frameworks.
Employee Development & Training
Implement training and mandatory compliance programs across sites; track effectiveness and follow-up actions.
Manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs), monitor progress, and provide insights to functional leaders.
Support implementation of learning interventions and evaluate ROI on capability-building efforts.
Industrial Relations & Contract Workforce Governance
Manage IR matters, including disciplinary cases, PIP execution, union interactions (if applicable), and grievance handling.
Manage 1000+ contract staff across warehouse locations nationwide.
Source, evaluate, and onboard contract staffing agencies; conduct audits to ensure compliance and service quality.
Oversee timely filing and renewal of labor licenses and statutory documentation under CLRA, S&E, LWF, and other state-specific laws.
Compliance & Statutory Reporting
Ensure all warehouses and offices remain compliant with labor laws and company policies.
Monitor statutory requirements, including labour returns, contractor audits, payroll filings, attendance discipline, and documentation archiving.
Prepare periodic HR dashboards, compliance reports, and workforce analytics for management review.
HR Projects & Engagement
Assist with deployment of global HR initiatives locally and provide feedback on India implementation realities.
Support employee surveys, analyses findings, and assist managers in closing identified gaps.
Provide business support recommendations that balance operational needs with compliance requirements.
Capability Building & Government Scheme Administration
Manage apprenticeship programs (NAPS / NATS), including hiring, rotation, assessment, and compliance submissions.
Evaluate skill outcomes and integrate graduates into pipeline roles to strengthen workforce capability.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare statistical HR analytics -- attrition, IR cases, hiring performance, development progress, contractor compliance scorecards, and manpower movement.
Share actionable insights with leadership for informed decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Any Graduate
Post-graduation in Human Resource & Labour Studies.
Skill & Experience:
Around 5+ Proven experience in Industrial Relations.
Strong analytical skills.
