About The Research & Insights Hub
The Research and Insights Hub (RIH) was conceived in 2022 as a central element of the New Equation and has demand generation as its key objective. It aims to facilitate this by providing deep, immersive research on companies and sectors to PwC's account teams. RIH's work enables elevated conversations between PwC's account teams and PwC's clients, leading to new collaboration opportunities for PwC.

Job description:
Responsibilities
Offer training, guidance and mentorship to the team of analysts on a regular basis
Drive multiple research projects simultaneously
Be accountable for research timelines, coverage, quality of outputs
Navigate the complexities of working with diverse pan India teams and engagements
Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, and stakeholders to build trust
Handle team level operational activities such as tracking productivity, databases, analytical tools, output management
Lead teams to perform industry research, business research, financial research and market research
Identify and source the required data/information related to industries, companies and markets
Organize and analyse data according to research context and objectives
Derive insights and inferences from the research findings
Provide a cohesive narrative and present the research findings at various forums
Actively facilitate knowledge management and ensure documentation of best practices and maintenance of databases
Design and implement research agenda across sector(s) with the help of the team
Understand business models of players in the industry, and develop and regularly review analytical models and parameters across assigned sector(s)
Develop analytical capability and domain expertise in select sectors
Stay up to date on industry trends, key developments in assigned sectors to assess their impact on sectors and PwC clients
Track strategic initiatives of companies within assigned sectors to assess their impact on key operational, financial and risk metrics
Desired skills
Knowledge of various data/information sources and platforms for the purposes outlined below:
Analysis of selected companies across various dimensions, including, market share, customers, credit ratings, ESG ratings, news, public issues, ownership structure, active investors, share price, PE ratio etc.
Competitive benchmarking of peers based on industry specific operating, financial, risk metrics and assessing factors leading to competitive advantage
Proficiency in use of databases like Ace Equity, Prowess, Capital IQ will be a plus
Analytical capability and functional knowledge
Broad understanding of the Indian economy and its key sectors, awareness of corporate news and developments.
Ability to ask insightful questions and find answers using data, logical reasoning and deduction.
Ability to read and analyse financial statements in the business context
Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
Familiarity with various visualization tools such as Power BI will be a plus.
