& Summary: Role Summary - We are seeking a B2B Functional Manager to lead cross-functional delivery and operations for our commercial products and enterprise customers. This role owns end-to-end planning, execution, and continuous improvement of processes that drive high-quality product enhancements, integrations, and customer outcomes. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations to ensure timely delivery, adherence to standards, and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate combines strong project/program management, stakeholder communication, and release/change management experience in a B2B context.
Responsibilities:
Own planning and tracking for B2B initiatives across the full lifecycle, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and change control. Coordinate delivery activities through technical and test leaders; serve as the escalation point for development, integration, or operational issues impacting enterprise customers. Work daily with product managers and project teams to deliver high-quality releases and service improvements within committed timeframes. Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and (as needed) external customers or partners; ensure clear communication and expectation management. Plan, schedule, and coordinate phases of work (requirements, design, build, test, release, enablement, post-release support). Monitor progress across teams, maintain project controls, and produce accurate, timely status reports and executive updates. Ensure adherence to defined SDLC processes, release management, quality standards, and change management practices for customer-impacting changes. Construct and maintain key artifacts: project plans, resource estimates, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), communication plans, and test/rollout plans. Drive governance for enterprise customers: uphold SLAs, support QBR preparation, and coordinate incident/defect resolution and root-cause analysis. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; anticipate issues and create contingency plans to safeguard delivery dates and customer commitments.
Recommend process improvements and new approaches based on industry best practices, champion continuous improvement and operational excellence. Coach, mentor, and motivate assigned team members and cross-functional contributors to achieve desired outcomes and develop capabilities. Partner with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Architects, QA, and Customer Success to enforce standards, align on requirements, and ensure readiness for go-to-market and customer enablement. Maintain orderly documentation and repositories; ensure content consistency and continuity of work performed. Stay informed on technical, business, and management developments affecting B2B customers; share insights with leadership and relevant stakeholders. Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Solutions Engineering to support B2B sales cycles, RFPs, SOW scoping, and pre-sales solution reviews; ensure delivery feasibility and clear customer commitments. Lead enterprise customer escalations: run incident command, coordinate war rooms, manage executive communications, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions. Establish and maintain escalation playbooks, communication cadences, and SLA governance for strategic B2B accounts; ensure timely resolution of customer-impacting issues. Oversee ecommerce program delivery across storefront, catalog/PIM, pricing/promotions, cart/checkout, payments, tax, fraud, order management, fulfillment, returns, and post-purchase experiences. Manage complex ecommerce integrations (ERP, CRM, OMS/WMS, PIM, CDP, payments, tax, shipping), marketplace/B2B portal connectivity, and identity/SSO; ensure secure and compliant operations. Coordinate ecommerce release windows, feature flags/A-B testing, and conversion monitoring to minimize business impact and optimize revenue outcomes. Monitor and improve ecommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, checkout completion, uptime, page performance) and tie delivery outcomes to business metrics.
Mandatory skill sets:
5-7 years of experience in B2B program/project management leading cross-functional onshore/offshore teams, including commercial application delivery. Proven experience with release and change management for customer-facing products and enterprise integrations. Direct experience partnering with Sales/Account teams on enterprise deals, RFPs/SOWs, and managing executive escalations for strategic customers. Hands-on experience delivering ecommerce projects (storefront, checkout, payments, OMS/WMS, ERP/CRM integrations) and tying delivery to business outcomes. Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project or Smartsheet, and Excel for planning, tracking, and reporting. Core competencies: Project/Program Management, Release/Change Management, SDLC and QA/Testing. Strong stakeholder communication and executive presence; effective negotiation and conflict resolution. Data-driven approach to delivery KPIs and customer SLAs; ability to link outcomes to business metrics. Ecommerce domain knowledge including B2B features and integrations (ERP/CRM/OMS/WMS, payments/tax, EDI/iPaaS). Incident and escalation leadership with root-cause analysis and clear corrective/preventive action planning.
Preferred skill sets:
Project Management Certification preferred but not a mandate.
