Job Title: Ink Technician (Flexo/ Gravure)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Ink Technician

with a strong background in

flexographic or gravure printing

processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing, and maintaining ink systems to ensure optimal printing quality, consistency, and compliance with production standards. The candidate must have experience in flexo/ gravure machine operating or troubleshooting different problems that are faced while printing due to ink.

The different problems that are faced regarding flexographic ink are:

Adhesion Blocking / Offset Dirty Print - Feathering Dirty Print - Dot Bridging Dirty Print - Halos Fill-in Ink Smearing / Bleeding Mottled Print Pinholes Poor Trapping Weak Print Color
The different problems that are faced regarding gravure ink are:

Abrasion Adhesion Blistering / Offset Blocking / Offset Brittleness Bulleys / Hickeys Cell Clogging Comets Delamination Donut Dots Dot Skipping Drag Out Drying In Foaming Hazing Ink Bleed Mottle Picking Pinholing Railroads Screening Snowflaking Static Streaking Volcanoes

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate, mix, and adjust inks for flexographic or gravure printing presses based on production requirements and customer specifications. Conduct color matching using drawdowns, spectrophotometers, and visual assessments. Maintain accurate records of ink formulas, batch numbers, and color standards. Work closely with press operators and production teams to troubleshoot ink-related issues. Manage ink inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of inks and solvents. Ensure all inks comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., food-grade, low VOC). Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of ink mixing and dispensing equipment. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance print quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Collaborate with ink suppliers to test new formulations or improve existing ones.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must be a science graduate or must have a degree/ diploma in printing technology 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as an Ink Technician in

flexographic or gravure printing environments

. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting. Bengali, English & Hindi language is must. Candidate should read, write, understand and speak all 3 languages.

Additional Information:

Candidate must be open to travelling as his main role will be to solve our customer's problems in different regions of India. He will have to travel to customer's place to solve their problems and sometime also need to travel to check how our Ink is working and for some general feedback to make a strong bonding with customers. Travelling and all other charges will be provided by company in that period of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ?25,000.00 per month
