Description:
CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist - Cloud Application Operations opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, including application, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure.
Perform Level 1.5 remediation across the fleet using standard workflows and incident handling processes.
Receive, record, and analyze incident information, selecting and executing appropriate remediation actions.
Communicate resolution steps, action plans, and progress updates to clients in a timely manner.
Support application services and infrastructure components, including APIs, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware, and network security.
Understand high-level cloud application architecture and perform initial root cause analysis on incidents.
Manage Application IDs, cloud elasticity, and resource auto-scaling based on business needs.
Ensure disaster recovery readiness and perform manual redundancy failovers when required.
Generate and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly integrated service management reports across the client's environment.
Utilize ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, IBM Control Desk, and Remedy to track, manage, and resolve incidents.
Employ automation tools such as Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation for efficiency in incident resolution.
Monitor environments using tools such as IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, and Netcool OmniBus.
Apply ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Critical Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Integrated Service Level Management.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Hands-on experience with microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and security components in cloud environments.
Proficiency in monitoring tools (IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, Netcool OmniBus).
Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, IBM Control Desk, Remedy).
Working knowledge of automation tools (Rundeck, IBM Runbook Automation).
Understanding of ITIL frameworks and processes.
Ability to perform high-level incident analysis and effective remediation.
Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Experience:
5+ years of experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud operations, DevOps practices, and incident management.
Prior experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience working in enterprise environments with 24/7 operational support.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
