This role helps support the operation and performance of Cigna's enterprise network - this includes but not limited to security operations, remote site operations and global network operations. This position will provide support on incidents in the environment and help with problem resolution for the network infrastructure within Enterprise. This position will ensure high quality service delivery through responsiveness to incidents, crisis management, and adherence to service levels and network improvement initiatives.
Experience in configuring switches, routers, firewalls, Wireless Controllers & Access Points.
Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity and performance issues for highly available systems
Strong knowledge of Network Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EBGP
Network Load balancer such as Citrix or F5
Provide L3 and above escalation support for internal and hosted solutions.
Infrastructure planning, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance
Planning, utilization review, and performance monitoring.
Experience in load balancing and network optimization
Remote access technologies, management, and monitoring tools
Respond to alerts by following documented procedures for verifying, determining the case and resolving or escalating as necessary.
Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network diagrams and processes.
Installation and replacement of equipment's and components in data center
Manage IT operations and network platform
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Incident Management, BCP planning and coordination support
Knowledge of network architecture, design, and configuration
Scheduled network maintenance and patching
Triaging, alerting and troubleshooting network systems
Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups
Smart hands support for all data center devices and equipment's
Racking/stacking and installation of devices and establish connectivity
Decommission/remove devices/cables from racks
Knowledge on structure cabling
Vendor coordination for troubleshooting and hardware/parts replacements
Vendor coordination for structure cabling work
End to end cable tracing/testing support and establishing connectivity
Contractor Conversion
Education:
College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in Networking
Proven experience with support and operations of large-scale enterprise networks
Industry certifications such as CCNA and CCNP.
Experience with Cisco ACI
Experience with F5 load balancers
Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA firewalls
Experience with Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access, and Cisco Secure Access
Experience with Python and other scripting tools
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
Highly self-motivated and directed
Strong organizational skills
Keen attention to detail
Strong customer service orientation
Skills:
Willing to work in 24/7 coverage support and on call rotation
Understand network protocols and strong ITSM knowledge
Experienced in data center/enterprise computing
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network devices such as Routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, PDU's, WLAN controllers, WAP, wired/wireless connectivity
Knowledge on UPS/PDU's
