Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Center Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of NOC engineers. NOC Manager responsibilities include managing staff, developing, and implementing processes, and ensuring compliance with performance standards and security requirements.

Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the NOC team to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and identify potential issues, proactively implementing solutions to prevent service disruptions. Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for the NOC team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, and Security, to resolve complex network issues and optimize network performance. Providing regular reports on network performance, incidents, and other key metrics to management. Analyzing network performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize network performance and availability. Ability to handle the major outage calls and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications:

Education:

College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Typically requires 11-13 years of experience in network operations, with at least 5 years in a team lead role. Highly self-motivated and directed. Strong verbal and written communication. Strong organizational skills. Keen attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation. Strong understanding of networking technologies (protocols, hardware, software), security principles, and infrastructure management. Familiarity with the following technologies - Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN). Familiarity with Cisco ACI, F5 Load balancers, Palo Alto, Zscaler. Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies - Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong time and project management skills. Familiarity with the following technologies - Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN) Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies - Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow.
