This role helps support the operation and performance of Cigna's enterprise network - this includes but not limited to security operations, remote site operations and global network operations. This position will provide support on incidents in the environment and help with problem resolution for the network infrastructure within Enterprise. This position will ensure high quality service delivery through responsiveness to incidents, crisis management, and adherence to service levels and network improvement initiatives.
Understanding of core Network devices such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls and other devices in data center
Knowledge of network architecture and design
Smart hands support for data center devices and equipment's.
Provide console access to support teams for troubleshooting
Power cycle for network and other equipment's in data center
Knowledge on UPS, PDUs and connectivity support
Troubleshooting network connectivity issues for highly available systems.
Respond to alerts by following documented procedures for verifying, determining the case and resolving or escalating as necessary.
Support IT operations and network platform
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Support scheduled network maintenance and patching activities
Provide triage support for alters and troubleshooting network systems
Support disaster recovery operations and data backups
Racking/stacking and installation of devices and establishing connectivity
Decommission/remove devices/cables from racks
Vendor coordination for troubleshooting and hardware/parts replacement and shipping components
End to end cable tracing/testing support and establishing connectivity
Education:
College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
11-13 years of experience in Networking
Proven experience with support and operations of large-scale enterprise networks
Industry certifications such as CCNA and CCNP.
Experience with Cisco ACI
Experience with F5 load balancers
Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA firewalls
Experience with Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access, and Cisco Secure Access
Experience with Python and other scripting tools
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
Highly self-motivated and directed
Strong organizational skills
Keen attention to detail
Strong customer service orientation
Skills:
Willing to work in 24/7 coverage support and on call rotation
Understand network protocols and strong ITSM knowledge
Good data center knowledge
Understanding of network infrastructure and network devices such as Routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, PDU's, WLAN controllers, WAP, wired/wireless connectivity
Knowledge on UPS/PDU's
Good Communication and problem solving
Smart hands/touch support Knowledge
Good to have CCNA, ITIL, Network+ certification.
