Role Title: Data Center Build Engineer - Cisco ACI - Role Overview The Data Center Build Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and validation of Cisco ACI-based Data Center environments. The role involves executing build activities based on approved design documents, supporting migration initiatives, and ensuring alignment with network and security standards defined by the architecture team. - Key Responsibilities Deploy and configure Cisco ACI Fabric components including APIC, Leaf, and Spine switches. Implement tenant, bridge domain, and contract policies as per the approved Low-Level Design (LLD). Perform integration with external Layer 2/Layer 3 networks, firewalls, and load balancers. Support migration and transformation activities in coordination with design and operations teams. Conduct validation, functional testing, and documentation for all build activities. Maintain deployment records, configuration templates, and update runbooks as required. Assist in troubleshooting build-related issues and coordinating with L3/L4 teams for resolution. - Required Technical Skills Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI Build and Deployment (fabric discovery, APIC configuration, tenant setup). Solid understanding of Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, EVPN). Familiarity with data center technologies, virtualization, and security integration. Experience in creating or following SOPs and deployment checklists. Exposure to automation (Ansible/Python) and configuration management tools preferred. Understanding of change management and implementation processes within large enterprises. - Professional Competencies Strong attention to detail and process discipline. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Effective collaboration with architecture, build, and operations teams. Strong communication and documentation abilities. - Certifications (Preferred) Cisco CCNP (Data Center or Enterprise Infrastructure). Cisco ACI Specialist or equivalent certification. - Expected Deliverables Validated and tested ACI build configurations. Implementation and migration checklists. Build documentation and handover reports. Runbook and operational transition support. 15 Years of full education is needed
