As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office , you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

Job responsibilities

Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification in Infra engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience. Hands on experience in Linux,UNIX and Windows, application/middleware support knowledge. Experience with Automation and Configuration tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef . Experience with scripting & programming languages like Python/Java. Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation. Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting and responding - relative to performance and availability of application, using tools such as Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Splunk. Experience with Jenkins, GIT and CI/CD pipelines, Agile and Scrum practices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Understanding of concepts and principles behind DevOps and SRE. Familiar with cloud Engineering & understanding of private cloud principles and exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS/Azure/Google cloud or similar technology is preferred
