Position: Infrastructure Engineer I
: Linux AIX What You’ll Be Doing

• Ownership of various systems engineering projects related to AIX/RHEL systems infrastructure
• Experience in a corporate environment on AIX and Linux
• Architect, build, and troubleshoot IBM P-Series systems
• Recommend, design, and roll out cloud and physical network, storage, and system improvements to ensure redundancy, high availability, and security
• Design and Perform Patching schedules and ownership of OS and Security patching activities
• Perform automation of routine tasks to increase systems efficiency and reduce human intervention
• Manage systems and network security to meet best practice and allow appropriate access without adding additional risk
• Capacity planning and management
• Design and maintain backup and redundancy strategies
• Develop and update documentation of network and systems architecture
• Cross-train infrastructure team members in areas of expertise
• Work with systems and infrastructure manager and team to develop and implement infrastructure policies and procedures
• Responsible for internal communication of critical systems information
• Develop, maintain, and document Linux and infrastructure installation and configuration procedures
• Ticketing tools like Service now
• India Day shift timings

What We Are Looking For

• Day 2 day BAU support for UAT/Dev/prod/DR servers to RHEL systems infrastructure.
• Major Incident Management support and performance troubleshooting and work with various IT teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
• Experience with Redhat Linux & AIX system Administration skills.
• Hands-on experience on Redhat IDM configurations and managing the Satellite server
• Experience in a corporate environment on Linux with Vmware environment.
• Perform OS Patching schedules and ownership of OS and Security patching activities on Linux.
• Perform automation for reoccurring BAU tasks to increase systems efficiency and reduce human intervention
• Analyzing technical problems and creating solutions involving the use of existing techniques and/or tools
• UNIX related network troubleshooting
• multipathing, LVM and Disk management
• Liaising with relevant support teams to ensure they are informed about relevant progress and issues relating to Unix servers
• Significant experience in Automation tools like Ansible/Scripting to automate the day 2 day Linux tasks,
• Good troubleshooting skills
• monitor the system performance and ensures compliance with the security standards
• Hands-on experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
• Relevant hands-on experience in Annual DR activity.
• Experience in preparing the documentation for technical and process .
• Have worked in a Vmware Virtualization environment.
• Provision of the Linux VM as per the project requirement.
• Manage systems and network security to meet best practices and allow appropriate access without adding additional risk
