Responsibilities:
Drive internal and external customer success - meet the internal SLAs for all components that the team owns
Support application development by being a strong partner all the way from design/architecture to release/deployment
Leverage the broad charter to define the strategy and provide technical leadership across the full suite of applications
Build strong cross-functional relationships across the company to define the team’s strategy, roadmap, and priorities
Support the managers in various teams to schedule on-call rotations. You will be on a tertiary escalation schedule in Team
Take a data/metric-driven approach to identify gaps in processes, frameworks, etc. and provide tactical solutions
Manage budget for R&D toolchain
Participate in a monthly 360-degree engineering operations review and surface key metrics for executive stakeholders
Qualifications:
14+ years of industry experience with 4+ years managing an operations team in SaaS companies
Bachelor’s (or equivalent/higher) degree in computer science or related discipline
Experience managing and mentoring remote and geographically distributed teams
Experience working in a hands-on manner with leaders, architects, developers, operations engineers in distributed architectures, operational criteria, system designs, and code reviews
Experience working in a complex mesh of microservices with enterprise-grade requirements on performance, scale, security, availability, backup, and disaster recovery
Hands-on knowledge of DevOps, SRE, and CI/CD practices in a public cloud environment, preferably AWS
Experience in a public cloud deployment environment with Kubernetes supported by industry-standard provisioning and monitoring services like Terraform, Sumologic, Datadog, New Relic
