Infra Tech Support Practitioner

Project Role Description :

Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Summary: As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will engage in the ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve addressing various technical issues, providing solutions for configured services across multiple platforms, and ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software systems. You will work both remotely and onsite, collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively, while adhering to established operating models and processes. Roles & Responsibilities: -Leading incident management and response, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. -Optimizing system performance by conducting system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains. -Documenting technical procedures, configurations, and the architecture of deployed solutions. -Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress and challenges. -Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members -Participating in On-Call rotations to ensure system reliability -Developing and enforcing best practices for security and compliance -Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge -Strategizing and leading the adoption of new DevOps tools and technologies -Overseeing the management of complex and large-scale infrastructure projects Professional & Technical Skills: Extensive work experience as DevOps Engineer -In depth Knowledge of Automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform. -Strong understanding of Windows, Linux and Scripting languages like Shell, Ruby, Python, PowerShell, AWS CLI. -Experience on Git, Artifactory, Chocolatey. -Experience on Cloud platforms (AWS) -Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools -Strong communication and collaboration skills Technical Experience and Professional Attributes: -Good to have knowledge on Azure cloud -Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) -Good to have knowledge on monitoring and alerting tools (Logic Monitor, SCOM etc) -Designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the setup, scaling, and management of IT resources. -Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable quick and reliable code deployment across various environments. -Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure -Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Jenkins, Terraform or Ansible -Manage and maintain configuration files and settings using tools like Puppet, Chef etc -Monitoring and ensuring the reliability and performance of applications and services in production. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
