Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Summary: As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, We are seeking an experienced Senior Unix/Linux Engineer (L9) with deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9) and Azure-hosted environments. The ideal candidate will architect, design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale Red Hat solutions while ensuring security, compliance, automation excellence, and operational stability. This role requires advanced technical leadership, hands-on administration, and the ability to drive standardization and innovation across the Unix/Linux ecosystem. Key Responsibilities o Implement Azure-integrated architectures for RHEL workload deployments, security, and availability. o Administer and manage RHEL 8/9 servers in Microsoft Azure including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management. o Design and implement enterprise solutions using RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, and related Red Hat technologies. o Define system standards, configuration guidelines, architectural frameworks, and best practices for Linux platforms. o Perform OS upgrades and large-scale remediation activities across Red Hat environments. o Manage and maintain Red Hat Directory Services (RHDS) and Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) for authentication and access control. o Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Bind DNS and JSCPAE/SFTP/FTP secure file transfer services. o Oversee patch management and lifecycle operations using Red Hat Satellite, ensuring full environment compliance. o Develop and maintain advanced Ansible playbooks, roles, and CI/CD automation pipelines for repeatable and scalable operations. o Implement security controls aligned with industry standards (ISO, SOC2, CIS benchmarks, etc.). o Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to enforce governance and maintain audit readiness. o Provide advanced troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis for complex Linux, networking, and performance issues. o Recommend and drive performance optimizations across the Linux landscape. o Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct design/solution reviews for junior and mid-level engineers and support a 24x7 production environment, including on-call rotations as needed. Required Technical Skills o 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9). o Deep expertise with Red Hat Satellite (patching, subscription management, content views). o Strong proficiency in Ansible automation: playbooks, orchestration, CI/CD integration. o Experience with RHDS, Red Hat IdM/LDAP, and centralized authentication. o Solid understanding of OS upgrades, lifecycle planning, and migration strategies. o In-depth knowledge of Bind DNS, JSCPAE, SFTP/FTP, and secure file transfer protocols. o Strong Azure experience: VM management, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup & Recovery Vault, networking. o Excellent troubleshooting of Linux performance, networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls), and system failures. o Strong scripting skills (Bash or Python). Education & Certifications o BCA in Computers, BSc in Any Specialization, BTech/BE in Any Specialization Preferred Certifications o Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) o Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Additional Information o Experience with Azure-native monitoring and administration tools is a plus. o Knowledge of security, compliance frameworks, and audit standards is advantageous. o Prior experience designing enterprise Red Hat/Satellite/Ansible-based architectures preferred.
