Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Job Title: Senior Windows support engineer Position Summary In a mature End User Computing (EUC) environment, we are seeking a Windows Infrastructure Expert (Level 4) to provide design and Level 3 support for Windows Server services focused on EUC infrastructure. The role involves managing, supporting, and optimizing Windows and Azure-based environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and automated operations across global datacenters and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Design & Support (L3): - Provide design and Level 3 support for Windows Server services and EUC infrastructure. - Manage and maintain key components such as Hyper-V, IIS, KMS, and Terminal Services License Management. - Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring infrastructure issues. Incident & Problem Management: - Take ownership of critical incidents, perform in-depth investigations, and ensure permanent resolutions through RCA reports Azure & Cloud Operations:: - Support operations in Microsoft Azure, including server migration and automation. - Participate in the datacenterless project to migrate workloads from on-premises to Azure. - Transition on-premises SQL instances to Azure SQL Managed Instances while maintaining performance and security standards. Transition & Service Provider Coordination: - Facilitate transition with the next service provider in the EUC server area, ensuring continuity of operations and adherence to procedures. - Support cutover activities for entities & more and similar organizational migrations. - Ensure proper monitoring, documentation, and operation procedures are handed over effectively. Automation & Optimization: - Contribute to infrastructure automation and configuration consistency using PowerShell or similar tools. - Continuously improve performance, reliability, and manageability of EUC and server environments Cross-team Collaboration: - Work closely with application teams, platform engineers, and architects to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: - Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and platform knowledge bases. - Contribute to internal training and technical enablement sessions. Governance & Best Practices: - Enforce compliance with client's infrastructure standards and security baselines. - Document designs, operational processes, and troubleshooting procedures for long-term maintainability. Required Skills & Qualifications Certification: - Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Technical Expertise: - 6+ years of hands-on strong background in Windows Server infrastructure (design, deployment, and advanced troubleshooting). - Proficiency in Hyper-V, IIS, KMS, and TS License Management. - Experience managing Azure infrastructure, including automation and monitoring. - Good understanding of networking, firewall configurations, and EUC platform management. -Familiarity with SQL Server migrations to Azure SQL Managed Instances. Tools & Automation : - Hands-on with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation tools. - Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and security hardening. Soft Skills: - Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills. - Ability to work in a collaborative, international environment. - Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to operational excellence. Change Management & Governance: - Understanding of ITIL or internal change management best practices. - Experience coordinating platform upgrades, patch management, and rollout strategies. Security & Compliance: - Ensure Windows Server environments comply with corporate and regulatory security policies. - Implement and maintain security baselines, hardening standards, and access controls. - Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration compliance across EUC and server platforms. - Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to ensure systems adhere to client's global security framework. - Maintain and audit Active Directory security, including privileged access and GPO enforcement. - Support identity protection, encryption (BitLocker), and certificate management initiatives. Additional information: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. - 6+ years of experience in Windows Server design, implementation, and Level 3 support. - Proven record in Azure cloud integration and EUC platform operations. - Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills - Focused on reliability, automation, and service excellence.
