Title: Infra Lead(Kafka admin)
Location: Hyderabad & Pune & Bangalore

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Kafka infrastructure initiatives including setup, configuration, monitoring, and optimization
- Manage Kafka clusters in production and non-production environments (on-prem and cloud)
- Implement and maintain security protocols including SSL, Kerberos, and RBAC
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address bottlenecks or failures
- Collaborate with DevOps, application, and data engineering teams to support integration and delivery pipelines
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery, and failover strategies
- Maintain documentation for Kafka architecture, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to infrastructure best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 4+ years in Kafka administration
- Strong understanding of Kafka internals (brokers, topics, partitions, replication, consumer groups)
- Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Kafka Streams
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Kafka certification (e.g., Confluent Certified Administrator)
- Experience with other messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
- Exposure to data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
