About the internship

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Monitor computer networks for security issues
2. Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
3. Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
4. Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
5. Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
6. Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
7. Stay current on IT security trends and news
8. Develop company-wide best practices for IT security
9. Perform penetration testing and help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
10. Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
11. Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of information security or related field
2. Knowledge of computer network penetration testing and techniques
3. Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
4. Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
5. Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding the business impact
