Positions in this function are involved in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and Web-based security. Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases and Web for potential system breaches. Respond to alerts from information security tools. Report, investigate, and resolve security incidents. Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access. Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach. May oversee internal or external systems security (i.e., cloud services). Ensure that customers and users have the right access to the right systems at the right times.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyzes and investigates
• Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
• Partner with Network Security engineers on IDS/IPS rules
• Partner with Network Security Engineers on honeypot building, tuning, and monitoring
• Partner with Network Security Engineers to maintain appropriate allow/block lists in Web & Email security products and firewalls
• Assist with day to day Network Security operational activities such as firewall acl creation and modification, monitoring of alerts from various network security tools and troubleshooting
• Partner with Network Security to configure and maintain NAC (network access control)
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Eligibility

• Minimum 12 months in the current role
• Not on Active CAP at the time of applying for the IJP
• Employees designated currently on G-26 & G-27 can apply for this position
• Employees must notify their Current Manager before applying for the IJP
• Last Common Review rating should be Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations
• Employee should not have availed Onshore opportunity within last 6 months

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in at least 2 of the below:

• Experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense and/or legacy Sourcefire IPS sensors
• Experience with Cisco Ironport WSA and/pr Cisco Umbrella
• Experience with Cisco Ironport ESA
• Experience with Cisco Stealthwatch
• Experience with honeypots/deception technology
