Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant security and privacy laws and regulations 2.
Collaboration and Training:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT and development teams to ensure secure integration of cloud solutions 1.
Security Training: Conduct security training and awareness programs for staff 2.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest security issues, regulatory changes, and industry trends 1.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of security implementations and procedures 2.
Cloud-Specific Tasks:
Cloud Service Management: Manage and deploy cloud services efficiently 1.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans for cloud environments
Positions in this function are involved in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and Web-based security. Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases and Web for potential system breaches. Respond to alerts from information security tools. Report, investigate, and resolve security incidents. Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access. Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach. May oversee internal or external systems security (i.e., cloud services). Ensure that customers and users have the right access to the right systems at the right times.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Typically in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field 1 2.
Advanced Degrees: A Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security can be advantageous 1.
Certifications:
CompTIA Security+: Validates baseline skills necessary for core security functions 2.
CompTIA Cloud+: Focuses on cloud infrastructure services 2.
CompTIA PenTest+: Emphasizes penetration testing and vulnerability assessment 2.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP): Recognized globally for information security expertise 1.
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP): Specialized certification for cloud security 1.
Technical Skills:
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other cloud services 3.
Security Tools: Familiarity with security tools and technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption 1.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of languages such as Python, Java, or PowerShell for scripting and automation 2.
DevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps tools and practices 2.
Experience:
Hands-On Experience: Practical experience in cloud security, including designing, implementing, and managing security measures 1.
Incident Response: Experience in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents 2.
