Job Family Definition:


Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information - hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.

Management Level Definition:


Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.


The PACE (Product Adoption Content Experience) team develops and delivers the content our customers need to install, manage, and configure HPE's products and solutions.

About the Position:




HPE is serious about customer experience, and your contributions will be key to provide exceptional content experiences and customer success. The PACE team in Bangalore is looking for a motivated candidate to create customer-focused documentation for HPE's products in the Automated WAN space. The role requires strong technical skills and an ability to translate complex technologies into easy-to-use content for our customers.


The ideal candidate is a persistent self-starter with strong collaborative skills, who enjoys continuous learning and can push through barriers to get things done.

What you'll do:



Work with a team of writers and editors based in Bangalore and Sunnyvale, CA, USA, to research, write, and produce high-quality, topic-based documentation for HPE products and applications. Produce a range of deliverables including short-format web copy, in-product instructions, tooltips, and user guidance to take our users through the digital experience in an intuitive manner to complete their tasks. Collaborate with key stakeholders such as UX designers, product managers, content strategists, subject matter experts and of course a warm and welcoming team of technical writers. Follow established style and process guidelines to provide consistency and completeness.

What you need to bring:



BA/BS in Communication, Journalism, English, Computer Science, or related degree, or comparable experience. 5+ years' experience in developing product documentation. Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience in the networking domain working on network technologies, including routing, switching, network security, network automation, network management etc. Demonstrated ability to craft effective snackable/short-format text for GUIs and web, as well as easy-to-understand user guidance instructions. Ability to research complex technical concepts (independently and collaboratively) and develop effective deliverables to serve customer needs. Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make progress with less-than-complete information. Experience with XML authoring tools and Content Management Systems. Knowledge of basic UX design best practices.

Preferred Experience:



Technical certifications in the Networking domain. Producing content for or designing in-app tours
