Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse (ICN) to join our healthcare team. The ICN will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs across the hospital. The role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train and guide staff on infection control practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures in compliance with NABH/other accreditation standards. Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections and report findings. Provide training and education to healthcare staff on infection prevention practices. Monitor sterilization, disinfection, biomedical waste management, and hand hygiene compliance. Conduct regular audits and prepare infection control reports for management review. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other departments to ensure infection prevention standards are followed. Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements:

GNM/B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing with specialization in Infection Control (preferred). Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse in a hospital setting. Strong knowledge of infection control guidelines, NABH standards, and quality protocols. Excellent communication, training, and auditing skills. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff.
