Job Description

Developing and Implementing Protocols:

Creating and overseeing infection control policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices and regulations.

Surveillance and Monitoring:

Tracking and analyzing data related to infections, identifying trends, and investigating potential outbreaks.

Education and Training:

Educating healthcare staff, patients, and the community on infection prevention measures, such as hand hygiene, isolation procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Outbreak Management:

Responding to and managing outbreaks of infectious diseases, including containment, treatment, and prevention of further spread.

Consultation and Collaboration:

Providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on infection control matters and collaborating with other departments to ensure a safe environment.

Environmental Management:

Overseeing cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization procedures, and ensuring appropriate waste management practices.

Quality Improvement:

Evaluating and improving infection control practices through audits, data analysis, and feedback mechanisms.
