Infection Control Nurse
Infection Prevention & Control Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital's Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program.
Conduct regular infection surveillance, audits, and risk assessments.
Monitor healthcare associated infections and prepare reports with recommendations.
Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning standards.
Provide infection control education and training to nursing, clinical, and support staff.
Participate in outbreak investigation, management, and reporting.
Review and update infection control policies and procedures in line with MOH Bahrain guidelines , NHRA and international standards.
Collaborate with nursing leadership, quality, and facilities teams to improve infection control practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing)
Valid Registered Nurse license
Diploma or Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (preferred) of at least two years course duration.
Minimum 3 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in:
Long term care hospital
Infection control or quality role
