Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



1.

Infection Surveillance and Reporting



Conduct regular surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Investigate outbreaks of infections within the hospital. Collect, analyze, and interpret infection control data. Report notifiable diseases to public health authorities as required.
2.

Policy Development and Implementation



Develop and update infection prevention and control policies and procedures in line with national and international guidelines (e.g., WHO, CDC). Ensure hospital departments follow infection control protocols.
3.

Staff Education and Training



Educate hospital staff on infection prevention, hand hygiene, PPE usage and standard precautions. Conduct orientation sessions for new employees regarding infection control practices. Provide ongoing education and training sessions based on current needs and emerging threats.
4.

Compliance and Audits



Conduct routine infection control audits and hygiene inspections. Monitor and evaluate compliance with infection control protocols and report findings. Recommend improvements and corrective actions as necessary.
5.

Outbreak Management



Lead and coordinate outbreak investigations. Implement isolation and containment strategies during infectious disease outbreaks. Communicate effectively with medical staff, hospital leadership, and public health officials.
6.

Collaboration and Coordination



Collaborate with the Infection Control Committee and participate in interdisciplinary meetings. Work with housekeeping, laboratory, nursing and other departments to ensure proper infection control practices.

Qualifications:Education:



Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN); Master's preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC)

Experience:



Minimum of 4-5 years of clinical nursing experience. Previous experience in infection control preferred.

Skills:



Strong knowledge of infection control principles, epidemiology, and microbiology. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare reporting software.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
