Amazon Internet Services Private Limited is hiring an Industry Solution Architecture Manager to lead a growing team of highly skilled Solution Architects focused on industry relevant technology solutions. An AWS industry solution is a composite of AWS Services and Partner products that delivers business value to our Public Sector customers (Government, Healthcare, Education and NPO/NGO). You will own the technology and application architectures of our industry solutions and work closely with our solution leaders to develop the value proposition and support our business development teams. You will lead a team of solution architects and provide them with coaching, career development and guidance on solution architecture. You will help frame and execute an overall strategic plan for industry solutions across APJ. You will work with AWS partners to compose industry solutions using their products, and with AWS partners to provide implementation and ongoing support for industry solutions. You will collaborate across AWS teams to bring the best of AWS to our customers.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about solving problems for our public sector, education and healthcare customers, an innovator, a deep technologist, a value creator and a builder. This is a senior role in the India and South Asia Public Sector Solution Architecture team with an expectation to lead and influence the future of AWS in the region.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead technical teams that create and iterate on modern architecture and applications.
• Supporting entering into strategic alliances with senior leaders at partners.
• Engage the field sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive transformation and solution opportunities for AWS.
• Ability to assess technical and business feasibility for partners and AWS, and evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit.
• Build out of APJ SA team, coaching and managing team goals to ensure we are delivering on our commitments.
• Manage strategic internal relationships (across Product, Solution Architecture, Engineering, Corporate, and Senior Management) to remove obstacles to success.
• Recommend investments in key strategic offerings and market segments.

About the team
An ideal candidate will have past experience of working as a Solutions Architect Manager or similar role and have good understanding of Government, Education and Research organizations. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years architecting end-to-end solutions for customers with a focus on creating value.
• 5+ years leading a team of solution architects.
• 5+ years working with cloud and cloud based solution architectures.
• Experience managing diverse, high performance teams in multiple geographies.
• Track record of owning and driving results, complex solutions, and programs.
• Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with varied organizations, while navigating the nuances and diversity of the region with sensitivity and an adaptable approach.

• Exceptional level of written and spoken English skills.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years working in health and public sector business domain.
• Business acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies.
• Prior experience at a system integrator leading consulting and/or managed services.
