Responsibilities

The Business Analyst is responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the cross-functional areas. This position will be meeting with all level of business to understand and document project requirements.

The role holder will be proficient in being able to work in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies with the key responsibilities being:

• Stakeholder Confirmation/Management
• Scope Definition
• Process Flow Definition (Current and Future State)
• Gap Analysis
• Requirements Elicitation (Facilitating, Challenging and Documenting) - this includes:
• Epic confirmation
• User Story creation under BDD
• Refinement with Architectural/Development teams
• Options Analysis
• Data Mapping
• User Acceptance Testing Support
• Operational Design/Impact Analysis

The ideal candidate will be capable of challenging the business - asking why and getting to the heart of the issue to ensure the above outputs are watertight

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years overall experience with 2-4 years of FIS ALS functional experience or experience with financial systems - specifically lending is must.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake business analysis within an Agile environment with experience in requirement elicitation, gathering, documentation and management
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups across multiple disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, including taking initiative, providing regular updates on your work, seeking and providing support as required
• Demonstrated functional and conceptual understanding of technical matters, as well as the proven ability to quickly learn new business domains and technical applications
• Demonstrated ability in creatively solve problems and try new approaches to achieve work outcomes, leveraging a strong analytical mindset
• Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders and users in the provision of advice, guiding decision-making and seeking cooperation in the delivery of services
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical and business reports and proposals for all levels of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations and training to a variety of audiences
• Proficient in MS office suite of applications including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Proficient in JIRA.
• Business analysis certification is plus.
