Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport passengers to and from assigned destinations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate buses along assigned routes according to a fixed schedule or as directed. Ensure the safety of passengers during transit, boarding, and disembarking. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness. Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays immediately. Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior and exterior. Provide assistance to passengers with special needs, as necessary. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and passenger count. Maintain professional and courteous behavior with all passengers and staff.

Qualifications:

Valid [State/Country] Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement. Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Proven experience as a professional driver (preferred). Knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance.

Excellent driving and navigational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Good judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations.

Working Conditions:

May require early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday shifts. Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a large vehicle safely. Exposure to varying weather conditions during travel.
