Job Description

1. Maintenance of Emergency Equipment



Ensure all emergency and fire-fighting equipment (fire extinguishers, hydrant lines, hose reels, panels, detectors, emergency lights, first-aid boxes, etc.) are in working condition at all times.

Conduct routine inspections as per defined frequency and submit reports to the superior.

Take prompt action for repair, replacement, or addition of equipment as required.

2. Supervision of OHC (Occupational Health Centre)



Ensure smooth functioning of OHC as per company procedures. Monitor activities related to first-aid boxes, equipment maintenance, and medical support. Report any unusual occurrences or medical incidents to the superior authority.

3. Training & Awareness



Conduct EHS inductions for new joiners in coordination with HR. Conduct refresher training and awareness programs as per schedule. Maintain and submit training records as prescribed. Educate employees and visitors about emergency procedures and drills.

4. Conducting Emergency Drills



Organize mock, fire, and evacuation drills as instructed by superior. Assist in preparing post-drill reports and corrective actions. Enhance preparedness and participation during emergency scenarios.

5. EHS Events & Engagement



Actively participate in EHS events such as National Safety Week, Environment Day, etc. Motivate and engage employees for maximum participation.

6. STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Operation & Monitoring



Ensure smooth functioning of STP systems. Prepare and maintain operational and performance reports. Coordinate maintenance and service with concerned agencies. Track and record water usage and treated water quantity.

7. PPE Management & EHS Store



Issue PPEs to respective departments as per requirement. Maintain PPE inventory and records. Ensure 5S compliance and safety standards in EHS store.

8. Environmental Compliance



Ensure adherence to environmental laws and company policies. Monitor hazardous waste handling and disposal. Maintain environmental records and assist in audits and reporting. Report any non-compliance or pollution risks to superior authority immediately.

9. Risk Assessment & Incident Management



Participate in regular risk assessments for health, safety, and environment. Identify and report unsafe acts, near misses, or potential hazards. Implement preventive and corrective actions promptly.

10. Security Supervision (Shift Responsibilities)



Supervise security staff during non-general shifts in absence of the Safety Officer or Security Supervisor. Report any abnormal activity immediately to concerned authorities.

11. Statutory & Customer Compliance



Ensure compliance with all EHS-related statutory norms and customer codes (e.g., IWAY, BSCI, SEDEX, CTPAT, GSV, Higg, SCAN, AEO, etc.).

Support internal and external EHS audits and ensure closure of NCs.

Skills & Competencies Required:



Knowledge of EHS regulations, safety audits, and risk management.

Good communication and training skills.

Proficient in MS Office & SAP (preferred).

Strong coordination and documentation skills.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
