Title: Industrial/ Product Design Intern (On-site)
Location: Research & Innovation Park, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi
We are seeking a talented and creative Product/Industrial Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and improving existing ones, using your skills in research, conceptualization, and prototyping. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure that your designs meet the needs of the end user and the business.
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyse market trends, customer needs, and technical feasibility to inform design concepts
- Create sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to communicate design ideas and concepts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and iterate on designs
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing
- Test and evaluate prototypes to ensure that they meet design and performance requirements
- Participate in design reviews and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Industrial Design or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in product or industrial design, with a portfolio showcasing your work
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Rhino
- Experience with prototyping and testing methods
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
