Industrial Engineer / Process Improvement Engineer

Experience: 2-3 Years

Qualification: Dip. Mech & BE Mech

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency through

time study, motion study, lean manufacturing tools, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

. The role focuses on

cost reduction, productivity improvement, waste elimination, and process automation

while ensuring smooth routine production monitoring in a jewelry manufacturing environment.

Time & Motion Study

Conduct

time studies and motion studies

to establish standard times and improve work methods Analyze operator movements to reduce cycle time and improve productivity Implement optimized layouts and ergonomic improvements Process & Cost Optimization Analyze process costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Production Monitoring

Perform

routine monitoring of production performance

Track KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, cycle time, and output Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
Continuous Improvement

Drive

continuous improvement initiatives

across production lines Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Support Kaizen and improvement projects at shop-floor level
Process Automation

Identify opportunities for

process automation and digitization

Support implementation of automation to improve accuracy and efficiency Improve material utilization and reduce rework and rejection Support management in achieving productivity and cost targets
Lean & Six Sigma

Apply

Lean Six Sigma concepts

for process improvement Identify and eliminate

waste (Muda)

in manufacturing processes Implement lean tools such as

5S, Kaizen, VSM, Line Balancing, SMED

Manufacturing Process Knowledge

Develop strong understanding of

jewelry manufacturing processes

Support production teams in improving process flow and efficiency Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Process & Cost Optimization

Analyze process costs and identify cost-saving opportunities Improve material utilization and reduce rework and rejection Support management in achieving productivity and cost targets
