Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



1.

Production Process Optimization:



o Analyze production workflows to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks; implement process improvements to enhance productivity.

o Design and implement new production systems, tools, and methods to improve labor efficiency and reduce production costs.

o Use time and motion studies to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and labor cost estimates.

2.

Capacity Planning and Utilization:



o Develop production capacity plans based on forecasted orders and market trends.

o Ensure optimal machine and labor utilization to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.

o Continuously assess factory capacity and resource allocation to align with production requirements and client needs.

3.

Cost Control and Budgeting:



o Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads.

o Conduct cost analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste.

o Ensure production processes adhere to budget constraints without compromising on product quality.

4.

Workforce Management:



o Develop manpower planning and scheduling systems to ensure adequate staffing levels for each production shift.

o Monitor labor productivity and implement training programs for workers to improve their efficiency.

o Collaborate with the HR department to ensure appropriate workforce skills and training.

5.

Productivity Improvement Projects:



o Lead projects focused on improving operational efficiency, including automation, equipment upgrades, and layout redesigns.

o Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, then implement solutions that drive continuous improvement.

o Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient implementation of process changes.

6.

Data Analysis and Reporting:



o Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to track progress toward operational goals (e.g., efficiency, lead time, waste reduction).

o Provide regular reports to senior management on productivity levels, process improvements, and cost savings.

o Use engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP systems) to track and manage production data.

7.

Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:



o Drive the implementation of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize operations and reduce inefficiencies.

o Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve recurring production issues.

o Promote a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement and problem-solving workshops.

8.

Collaboration with Other Departments:



o Work closely with the production, quality, and design teams to ensure that new products are designed with manufacturability in mind.

o Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to streamline material flow and reduce lead times.

o Support the marketing and sales teams by providing production capacity forecasts and time-to-market estimates.

9.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:



o Ensure that production processes comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

o Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety and reduce incidents related to production operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹16,266.95 - ₹46,266.58 per month
